BIO NL
BATAUWE 20:30 - 22:00 Buddy Henderson was born in Palm Springs California in 1943 and grew up in Tyler Texas. At the age of 6 he discovered his first love: the 6 strings. In the early sixties he began to work in a record store and went to the live gigs in Tyler. At 16 he started his first band called The Sensors and later he got in a band named Mouse and the Traps. They had a little local success in 1966 and Buddy changed his name in Bugs. At the end of the decade Bugs found himself as a house guitarist Of the Robin Hood Studio's. He played demo sessions behind different performers from rock to country. Bugs signature sound was beginning to define itself during the 1970,s when he played only blues. He went to Dallas to Play in the local clubs. Henderson went from small clubs to playing on stage opening for artists as The Allman Brothers and B.B. King. His friend Freddie King pushed Henderson to start his own band. He assembled his first record called At Last released on succession of 15 albums over four decades. Success and his spoils began wreaking havoc on Bug’s live in the late 1970,s. He came out it with help from his friends and today he lives with his Family in East Texas. His unique style and mixture of blues, rock, jazz and swing and just about everything else that can play on 6 strings brought him on stages with guitar icons as B.B. , Freddie King, Eric Clapton , Roy Buchanan and James Burton and shows his enormous control of his tone and coloration.
